Remove image metadata
Re-encode PNG, JPEG, or static WebP to remove source EXIF, GPS, XMP, comments, and color profiles.
How it works & supported files
Remove source metadata by re-encoding
Source EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, comments, timestamps and color profiles are omitted. This does not remove information visible in the pixels. Encoder-required format information remains, and JPEG/WebP are re-encoded with lossy compression.
Static images, processed on your device
Supports static PNG, 8-bit grayscale/RGB JPEG, and static WebP as listed by this tool. Animation, SVG, HEIC, AVIF, and CMYK JPEG are not supported. EXIF orientation is applied before editing. Re-encoding removes source metadata and color profiles, can change colors, and reduces high-bit-depth images to browser canvas output. JPEG and WebP output may change pixels. For transparency, choose PNG or WebP. Outputs are limited to 100 MiB.
