How it works & useful details
Put everything in order
Choose two or more PDFs. Use the up and down arrows to arrange the files, then merge them. Pages within each document keep their order and original dimensions.
For ordinary PDF documents
Encrypted documents and interactive forms aren’t supported. Export an unencrypted, flattened copy first. Signatures, bookmarks, attachments, and other document-level features are not preserved.
About this tool
Merge PDFs joins two or more PDF documents into a single file while keeping every page in the order you choose. It is useful for combining scanned chapters, contract annexes, invoices, or separate exports into one document before sharing or archiving.
Everything runs in your browser using a local worker: files are never uploaded, and the merged PDF is assembled on your device. Encrypted documents and interactive forms are not supported, so export a flattened copy first if the original is protected.
How to use it
- Add two to twenty PDF files using the picker or by dragging them onto the page.
- Use the up and down arrows to arrange the documents; each file keeps its internal page order.
- Select Merge PDFs and wait for processing to finish.
- Download the combined PDF, or reset the workspace to start over.
Worked example
Merging a 2-page cover letter, a 3-page CV, and a 1-page certificate, in that order, produces one 6-page application PDF: letter pages 1–2, CV pages 3–5, certificate page 6. Each page keeps its own size, so an A4 letter and a Letter-sized certificate can sit in the same file.
Before you merge
- Remove passwords first. Encrypted PDFs cannot be read in the browser without the password, and they are rejected.
- Flatten fillable forms (in most viewers, Print → Save as PDF). Otherwise the form fields from different files could conflict.
- Signatures do not survive. A merged file is a new document, so sign the final merged PDF instead.
- Up to 20 files and 500 pages in total, with 50 MiB of combined input.
Pages are copied as they are, including text, fonts, and vector graphics, so nothing is re-rendered or reduced in quality. Bookmarks and document outlines are not combined. Add them again in a PDF editor if the merged document needs navigation.
Frequently asked questions
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. The merge runs in a browser worker on your device, and the result is created locally. Nothing is sent to littlekit.app.
What are the size and page limits?
Up to 20 PDFs, 50 MiB combined, and 500 pages across all documents. Each source file must be an unencrypted PDF.
Are bookmarks, attachments, or signatures preserved?
No. The merged document copies pages only, so document metadata, bookmarks, attachments, page labels, and digital signatures are not carried over, and internal page links may stop working.
Can I merge only some pages from each file?
Extract the pages you need from each PDF first, then merge the extracted files.
